About The Role

Our holistic and agile approach to Cyber Security evolves alongside the ever-changing landscape to continually protect the critical data and people of our clients. Due to growing demand, an opportunity has opened for the right person to assist in the development and drive of our Managed Cyber Security services.

We are looking for a motivated, passionate, enthusiastic technician to hit the ground running. You will be working as part of a dynamic technical team, while being solely focused on the delivery of our Managed Cyber Security services.

They should keep abreast of the latest security threats and security breaches in the industry. They will need to be available for scheduled and unscheduled after-hours work. They will also be required to be in the on-call after hours team.

Some of the services you will be supporting include endpoint protection, email filtering, web filtering, security awareness training, vulnerability management, data loss prevention as well as numerous other key services.

They should assist with other Cyber Security services such as assessments and consulting as needed.

Do you demonstrate some the following:

Excellent written _ verbal communication (2)

Up to 5 years’ experience in IT / MSP environment

Cyber Security Technician Knowledge2-1

Knowledge of security technologies

ITIL v4 Foundation experience _ understanding

Security incidents & remediation experience

Excellent written _ verbal communication

EXCELLENT WRITTEN / VERBAL COMMUNICATION

Microsoft_ Server, SQL, Active Directory

Background in Infrastructure management

Preferred qualifications:

It will be advantageous to have vendor certifications, knowledge and/or experience in the following:

Cyber security frameworks

  • ASCS Essential 8
  • NIST framework
  • ISO 27001

Vendor security certifications may include the following or equivalent to:

  • Sophos Certified Engineer
  • Sophos Certified Technician
  • Sophos Certified Architect

The following certifications are desirable but not required:

  • Bachelor/Masters of Cyber Security or equivalent degree
  • CompTIA CySA+, CASP+, PenTest+
  • Certified Ethical Hacker Cyber Security
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • CISSP/m/a
  • ISO 27001
  • SANS
