Web Defence is a layer of protection for an organisations web-based applications and operations. Web defence combined with other defence services offered by EIT are all part of the layered defence to give first-class protection for organisations.
Web defence works by blocking harmful content at the DNS layer which works to stop users from accessing harmful content before the page can load and a connection is even attempted. This feature stops users from organisations from ever accessing harmful or malicious content.
Levels of Coverage;
Simple Blanket Coverage
Base level protection – ensures protection of all devices on site (workstations, PC’s, tablets, phones - within the network).
Roaming Clients (optional)
Includes the Blanket coverage along with the added protection to users who roam outside the office using portable devices.
Active Directory Integration (OPTIONAL)
Includes the first two levels along with the ability to implement content filtering rules to block sites with content deemed inappropriate or counterproductive for the workplace (such as social media).
- Secures entire network including tablets and mobiles
- Secures all internet-based traffic including HTTP & HTTPS sites.
- Has advanced encryption for DNS traffic to be as secure as a standard SSL encryption to remove snooping and common vulnerabilities.
- The ability to implement filtering based on business requirements and block sites and other content deemed a threat as per organisation requirements.
